Awayco was initially started in Silicon Valley in 2014 as a solution to enable outdoor sports enthusiasts to access the best gear around the world to pursue their passions.
Soon afterward, we realised that retailers were a key piece in solving this problem. Awayco focused on solving their needs to elevate rental software with the Awayco software-as-a-service solution.
We quickly grew to become the world’s largest premium rental experience partner to outdoor retail, winning the ISPO Munich 2020 Brand New award in Outdoor Sports.
Based on learnings working with some of the world’s leading outdoor sporting brands, we realised that in order to win, retailers need to capture an opportunity much bigger than rental: Awayco needed to help them to unify their retail, loyalty and resale offerings across in-store, online and affiliate channels.
